Sydney Study Abroad
I had the amazing opportunity to live in the beautiful city of Sydney, and study at the University of Sydney for a semester. The most rewarding aspect of my study abroad is the amazing connections I made. I was in a program with hundreds of other study abroad students who were outgoing and wanted to travel like me! I met people from all over the world! We explored Sydney together, along with other cities like Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Melbourne! I was also placed in a dorm with seven other girls that I got along with so well. I felt so excited every time I came home because we would always have so much fun together. I truly found a home in Sydney because of the people I connected with so well there.
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 situation cut my study abroad experience 2.5 months early. If this experience has taught me anything, it’s to never ever take life for granted and to make the most of my life as nothing is guaranteed. I reflected on myself and learned that I am particularly proud of myself for making the most of my life so far. I never let anyone or anything stop myself from doing what I am passionate about. I put my 110% effort to make my study abroad and travels happen. I have had so much much fun and happy experiences. In my 4 years of college, I have travelled to 17 states in America, as well as visited Germany, Austria, and Australia in study abroad experiences. I have seen some beautiful sights (like the Alps) that I will never forget. I am happy to know I have done my best to travel and see the world. Once travel is safe again, I am so motivated to never waste time and do whatever makes my heart happy. I will continue exploring this beautiful world we live in and make more memories, like my favorite quote suggests : “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page” - Saint Augustine.
